Synthetic gratings
BV Las-Pers has strengthened its
leading position by expansion of its product range with glass fibre
reinforced (GRP) gratings.
Moulded synthetic grating
For moulded GRP gratings, the components
are cast in a dieblock to give the correct pitch of bearing and
cross bars. Glass fibres are then interlaced. To ensure required
hardening, the material has cooled, the whole panel is heated. After
the material has cooled, the desired GRP panel can be pressed from
the mould and cut to size.Moulded GRP gratings offer high chemical
resistance - due to high resin share - and can be easily cut to
size with standard saw tools.
Colouring
Colouring, like pigments or optical
brightening agents, permit an inking of the GRP grating, allowing
the GRP grating to be delivered in any colour desired. Further,
an inking underlines the interesting optic and, in this case, no
maintenance is required.
